Our Four Marys® Gin project has been created to complement our Premium London Dry Gin, LinGin®, by using unusual botanicals mixed with traditional ones to give bold flavours and mouthfeels.
Four Marys Zesty Sherbet is a distilled gin using Kaffir Lime Leaves, Yuzu peel and Star Anise alongside Juniper, Coriander and Angelica to create the experience of an old-fashioned sherbet fountain in a glass! The gin leaves the still at London Dry quality and there is nothing added to this gin after it comes out of the still, the sherbet experience is all created by the clever mix of botanicals and, in particular, the Yuzu which is a Japanese citrus fruit.
Nose: Kaffir lime, and piney juniper with a hint of star anise.
Taste: Reminiscent of a sherbet fountain - lime, fizzy citrus and a liquorice stick and when tonic is added, the whole experience gives a fizzy citrus mouthfeel.
Finish: The finish is the liquorice stick that you would have chewed after all the sherbet had been eaten. A long finish that leaves the mouth fresh and ready for the next taste!
Best served with Fever-Tree Standard tonic garnished with a wedge of lemon. To add some extra fizz, sprinkle over half a teaspoon of sherbet crystals.
